The new year tends to kick start healthy eating habits, as well as new routines. Ideally, healthier eating habits should be something we strive for all year round.


Have you noticed half way through the morning, and or afternoon, your energy levels dip, and you're craving for that new lease of life, to see you through the last part of the day?


The two biggest factors in our energy levels are sleep and diet. Diet is something we can control, however we often tell ourselves we can't. Time being the main excuse for many as to why you grab for fast food and sugary snacks instead.


Constantly eating like this not only completely destroys your energy levels resulting in fatigue quicker, but also can lead to bad health implications.


Preparing healthy meals can take minimal time and once it's done you save yourself time, money and energy.


To help you prepare for those sweet cravings, cook up a storm with Chef Gino's healthy Coconut, Date and Dark Chocolate Protein Balls

Ingredients

  • 250g Dates

  • 30 g Chocolate Protein Powder (Vegan if Preferred)

  • 40 g Desiccated Coconut (more for rolling)

  • 80 g Ground Oats

  • 2 tbsp Dark Cocoa Powder

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients together to form a paste

  2. Roll into balls

  3. Roll in Desiccated coconut flakes

  4. Place in container and keep refrigerated
