It's the most wonderful time of the year, yet most get in a pickle when it comes to Christmas dinner.
To help try and reduce the stress, we share some of our tips on a stress free Christmas dinner.
1: Plan ahead
Organisation is our top tip, ensuring you have everything you need, meaning no last minute dashes to the shops, saving you bags of time.
Timings are also key, we recommend working out what time you want your main meal and work backwards on timings for everything else. Definitely worth having this to hand when the day is in full swing, keeping you on top of everything.
2: Having the right tools
There is nothing worse when cooking and not having enough utensils. Make sure you have enough oven trays, serving dishes, pots and pans. You can never have enough tin foil too, ensure you grab the large roll, you'll need it for covering food to keep warm.
3: Xmas eve prep
No doubt the house will be full of family, friends and loved ones, and what better time to have a catch up whilst peeling veg! Everything you need to peel, we suggest doing this the night before, leaving in water overnight. If you have space in the fridge, you can also cook the veg the night before. This will save you a lot of time faffing in the morning.
4: Nothing individual
Forget the fancy smoked salmon blinis and trifles in individual glasses for desert. Takes up way too much time and space in the fridge, giving you more work prepping. Try and serve platters and dishes that can be served in a communal bowls/plates.
5: Wash as you go
Delegation is great for this one. Where you can, wash up as you go. Not only will this allow for more space and a tidy kitchen, you'll be able to enjoy the after dinner fun. After all, you need to enjoy Christmas too.
Merry Christmas from everyone at HubFiiiT 💛
